Choose the size around the roots

Check the root ball and drainage before moving up a pot size. Extra soil can stay wet too long in a dim room. Use a removable nursery pot inside a cachepot, and empty runoff after watering.

For a lanai, also check rain exposure, the vessel’s weight when watered, and whether its finish suits outdoor use.
